My fashion career led me to form Peony & Mint, a successful online clothing and accessories business, full of hand-picked items that I know women enjoy adding to their wardrobe. Having always taken pleasure from personally helping my customers to find purchases that they love, I still felt I had more to offer. It was then that I enrolled on a colour course at the London College of Style in order to become a Colour Consultant. 

 

To say I loved the course was an understatement and I passed with flying colours, pardon the pun! A distinction proved that my passion for fashion and design was still burning brightly. 

 

This newfound knowledge of colour and wearing garments from a palette that truly compliment the skin tone changed my approach to style and, how I even styled myself! My wardrobe has evolved from shades of black and grey to a sea of colours; family and friends comment on how “my colours” really suit me. 

 

Dressing in the colours that suit our unique features can transform and impact our lives in such a positive way, really boosting our self-esteem and confidence - and who doesn't want that? Seeing someone at the end of a colour consultation, wearing the correct makeup colours and draped in their WOW colours, gives me goosebumps every single time, because I know they are now on the colour journey too. A journey that makes them glow from the inside out! 

 

 

Becoming a colour consultant was a career-changer for me in so many positive ways, that it made me want to help women even more - not only with colour, but styling too. The natural step was to enroll on a Personal Styling course at the London College of Style. It refreshed and reawakened my love of fashion design and I couldn’t wait to get started after qualifying with a distinction. 

 

Throughout my career, the opportunities to help style women have been both liberating and enlightening. Seeing the smile on someone’s face when they are styled in something that they would never normally consider wearing, is priceless and I am honoured to be able to offer them advice and guidance.
